El Salvador

In March 2008, I travelled to El Salvador with a documentary photography class from the Corcoran College of Art and Design. Our purpose was to begin a cultural exchange via photography.
We called ourselves Foto Viajeros. Viajeros are people who travel to and from the United States and El Salvador bringing letters, news, gifts, money, and photos to family members in each country. We brought our family photographs from home to show the people of El Salvador, and in return brought back photographs of the people of El Salvador.
The following pages are of photographs I took while we were in the town of Suchitoto and the capitol San Salvador, and brought home to the United States.
