Second Chance Wildlife Center, located in Gaithersberg MD, rehabilitates injured or abandoned wildlife. Most animal injuries are the result of being hit by a car. Often young wildlife, such as squirrels are orphaned by their parents in order to concentrate on stronger members of the litter. Prior to being released, the animals spent time outside in order to acclimate them to the wild.
